Queen,
the legendary band fronted by the dynamic Freddie Mercury before his
death in 1991, joined forces with writer Ben Elton to bring their
unique sound to the theatre. The action of the piece takes place in a
futuristic world where rock music is banned. At the heart of this rock
comedy are Queens legendary hits including We Are the Champions,
Another One Bites the Dust and Bohemian Rhapsody as well as the title
number of the show, We Will Rock You. And be prepared to marvel at the
25-foot tall golden statue of Freddie M outside the theatre. Its fast
becoming a London landmark in its own right! |
